Southern Sleep Studies recommends the patient follow these steps:

• All patients need to discuss this procedure (the sleep study) with their primary care physician.
• Most physicians will question patient about their symptoms. Patients deprived of sleep will definitely be able to explain all the symptoms, which relate to a sleep disorder.
• The patient’s medical doctor will order a sleep study to determine if there is a sleep disorder present during sleep.
• The patient’s medical doctor will give the patient an order for the study. This order can be called and faxed in to Southern Sleep Studies at (770)-716-1814.
• All patients are scheduled for studies based on their work schedule.
• Most patients come in at 7:30 PM, have the study, shower, and head to work thereafter. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom.
